Fripp Island

We were just back from Utah and recooping from our time there when Beau sent me a text from class around 3:30 asking if I wanted to go to Fripp island with a few of his siblings and their families and his parents. He said that there was a flight leaving at 5 and that if we left now I could make it. Both kids were napping, I was snoozing on the couch and had to make a split second decision on whether or not I thought I could do it. I ran upstairs, threw a bunch of stuff in a bag, woke the boys up and we raced to the car with Beau meeting me downstairs. When we got the airport we were reminded that you can't check in lap children on kiosks on delta so I had to see an agent which I definitely did not have time for. A few miracles and a really kind and generous delta agent allowed me to skip security and make it on as the last person on the plane. I was sweating bullets but we made it and the kids were decent on the flight. Did I mention I also didn't have my stroller because Becky didn't think it would fit in her car for the drive from Charleston to Fripp? I was dragging both boys through the airport and praying I could manage the layover at JFK. We landed in Charleston at 11 PM me carrying both boys who were asleep and waiting for Becky to pull in. Once I got them in the car I ran back inside to grab our luggage and car seats. I would say this is definitely one of the more crazy things I've done especially being 16-17 weeks pregnant.

Once there we were greeted with excited cousins and aunts and uncles. The boys love being with Grandma Becky and Poppy and were spoiled rotten. Lots of trips to the candy store on the golf cart, playing at the beach and playgrounds and playing with cousins around the house made for such a great trip.

We drove back from the beach with everyone to Atlanta, spent a few days there and then flew back home.

Of course this kids was loving all over ranger

One request I had while we were there was to learn Becky's way of homemade bread and cinnamon bread. It was so delicious and although I've tried to replicate I still have a long way to go!

Spring Break 2016

Spring break of our second year at HBS was spent differently than the first. Beau went on a trip with some section mates to Ecuador so I took the kids to Utah by myself. Right before the trip however- my morning sickenss kicked in in full force. We found out we were pregnant towards the end of february and so March kind of felt like a wash. This made of a very low key spring break with lots of junk food and snuggle time with my kids. I hardly did any venturing out but had fun seeing some family and getting help with my kids.

Using my phone to see if his eyes are closed or not

So excited to be at meemahs

Bach watching with sister

Attempting story time at the library was of course a zoo!

Somehow he ended up in my bed every night!

We met the Boyles at the museum of natural curiosity for some fun one day
