Utah in the summer time. I can't think of anything better. Upon our arrival to Utah for the Jewkes Family reunion we had a few days on the front and back end to spend time with my side of the family. One of my must-do's while there was a picnic in the evening. It fulfilled every expectation I had built up and included Thai food, bocce ball, soccer and the perfect weather!

A last minute trip to NY with the Pyfers had us down there on a saturday morning and driving back by sunday evening. This was my first time leaving Tennyson overnight and it went better than I expected. I missed the little guy a lot but knew he was in very capable hands :) The 3.5 hour drive was not too bad and after we parked for free on riverside dr. we took the subway to our hotel and began seeing the sights. Our hotel room was....lets just say... miniature. Or maybe smaller than miniature. We barely fit a queen blow up mattress on the floor and had to move some furniture around to do so. It was quite the comical site leaving absolutely no walking room. The whole time we were afraid the front desk would know we had 4 people staying in a room rather then the allotted 2. It was worth being right next to time square and close to a subway stop.
